Police said a fisherman noticed them – Rocky Bravo, 38, and his brother, Rolando, 24, residents of Barangay Balingasay, Bolinao, Pangasinan – in a yellow green motorized banca with the markings "Trixie Joy Marubert" tied up in an artificial reef and asked for help.

Police said the engine fuel line of their banca was cut and have been drifting at sea for four days. They left Bolinao on September 19.

The Bravos were taken to Barangay Ambucao for assistance.

Meanwhile, a fisherman, Jose C. Damian, 48, a resident of Barangay Sobol, San Fabian, Pangasinan, drowned while fishing in the sea in Barangay Nibaliw Vidal, San Fabian on Monday afternoon.

Investigation said the victim dived to fix his fishing net but got caught and failed to get free.

Damian was rescued by other fishermen and taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.
