The spouses of Heads of Mission Manila to hold the Diplomats for a Cause charity gala

The Spouses of Heads of Mission (SHOM) Manila partnered with SM for Diplomats for a Cause, a charity gala and fundraising event for selected beneficiaries advocating for vulnerable sectors of society across the Philippines. Thuy Nguyen, spouse of the ambassador of VietnamThe Spouses of Heads of Mission (SHOM) Manila recently signed a memorandum of agreement with SM, through Kultura and SM Retail, to hold “Diplomats for a Cause,” a charity gala advocating for the betterment of marginalized sectors in the country. SHOM is a group composed of the spouses of foreign ambassadors accredited to the Philippines.

Slated for Oct. 8, 2024, the “Diplomats for a Cause” Charity Gala, led by SHOM, will feature a fashion show and a silent auction of artwork. Both events will include participation from foreign ambassadors, heads of international institutions accredited to the Philippines, other ranking diplomats, and their families.

Over the years, the organization has been a strong advocate for marginalized sectors across the Philippines.
Participants will proudly wear Filipiniana, barong, and locally made accessories from Kultura. They will also showcase formal wear and accessories provided by SM Fashion and SM Fashion Forum. Anchored by a commitment to supporting initiatives that improve the lives of communities, the SM group has been supporting SHOM’s efforts through the years.

The event, to be held at the Manila Marriott Hotel, is in support of vulnerable women, children, and people with disabilities across the country.
