The Southern Police District (SPD) nabbed 62 wanted persons during its 33rd Warrant Day operations and confiscated P8.72 million worth of illegal drugs in a week.
According to the SPD, the Warrant Day operations were held on Sept. 20 in the cities of Muntinlupa, Taguig, Pateros, Las Piñas, Parañaque, Pasay and Makati, and the municipality of Pateros.

Of the 62, the police arrested eight top most wanted persons consisting of three in Pasay, one in Muntinlupa, two in Las Piñas and two in Parañaque.
In addition, 19 most wanted persons were nabbed by the police in Taguig, Pasay, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque and the District Intelligence Division (DID).
A total of 35 other wanted persons were arrested by the police in Makati, Taguig, Pateros, Pasay, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, District Mobile Force Battalion and District Traffic Unit.
Among those arrested was alias Mary Ann, 42, who evaded arrest for nine years. She was nabbed by the Muntinlupa and Cavite Police based on a warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Myra Quiambao of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 203 for possession of illegal drugs.
The SPD also seized 1,282.35 grams of shabu and 30.83 grams of marijuana worth P8.72 million from Sept. 16 to 22.
In his report to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), SPD chief Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete said the illegal drugs were seized during 58 police operations that also resulted in the arrest of 75 suspects.
"PBGen Rosete stressed that this major drug seizure underscores the SPD's unwavering dedication to removing illegal drugs from our streets. This initiative is part of the Philippine National Police's ongoing campaign, led by PGen Rommel F. Marbil, Chief PNP, to combat illegal drug activities,” according to the SPD.
