P20.4-M shabu seized from 3 drug pushers in Zamboanga City


ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police arrested three suspected drug pushers and seized shabu worth P20.4 million in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Talisayan here on Saturday, September 21.

THREE suspected drug pushers were apprehended and shabu worth P20.4 million was seized in a buy-bust operation in Zamboanga City.   

The suspects were identified as Mario Jalilul, 34, a resident of Tawi-Tawi province; and Alsid Sahiron, 36, and Ridsman Majini, 22, from Pata municipality, Sulu province.

They were tagged as high-value individuals who are regularly engaged in the transport and sale of illegal drugs.

The suspects were arrested after intense monitoring by police and military.

Seized from them were two plastic packs of suspected shabu weighing three kilograms with a street value of P20.4 million.

The contraband was taken to the Regional Forensic Unit-9 for examination while the suspects were detained at the Zamboanga City Police Office detention facility.

Zamboanga City has been described by authorities as a transshipment point for illegal drugs.
