President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s satisfaction and trust ratings continue to rise, while Vice President Sara Duterte's scores are experiencing a slight decline, based on the Tangere survey conducted from Sept. 16 to 19.

From August to September, President Marcos’ satisfaction and trust ratings rose from 46 percent to 46.4 percent and from 58.5 percent to 58.8 percent, respectively.

The highest levels of satisfaction and trust for the President were reported in Northern Luzon and Central Luzon, particularly among respondents aged 26 to 35.

In contrast, the highest levels of distrust and dissatisfaction were observed in Mindanao and among respondents aged 51 and above.

Meanwhile, Vice President Duterte's satisfaction rating decreased from 49 percent to 48.7 percent, and her trust rating fell from 57 percent to 56.8 percent.

Despite this decline, Tangere said the Vice President continues to receive strong support in Mindanao, where her trust and satisfaction levels remain highest.

However, her dissatisfaction and distrust scores are most pronounced in Central Luzon, Northern Luzon, and Southern Luzon.

Other official’s ratings

During the same survey period, 50.8 percent of respondents expressed satisfaction and 60 percent expressed trust in Senate President Francis Escudero.

Tangere said Escudero received the lowest scores for dissatisfaction (22 percent) and distrust (12 percent) among the top five government officials in the country.

Meanwhile, Speaker Martin Romualdez’s satisfaction and trust ratings rose from 45.55 percent to 46.3 percent and from 56 percent to 56.4 percent, respectively.

This rise is particularly notable in Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and Eastern Visayas.

However, Romualdez’s distrust and dissatisfaction scores are higher among respondents from Mindanao and those aged 36 to 50.

The survey also revealed that Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo's ratings saw a notable increase in September 2024, primarily driven by respondents from Luzon.

Respondents aged 36 to 50 also contributed significantly to the positive trend.

Tangere’s survey on the trust and satisfaction ratings of top government officials was conducted using a mobile-based respondent application.

The survey included 2,000 participants from across the Philippines—12 percent from the National Capital Region, 23 percent from Northern Luzon, 22 percent from Southern Luzon, 20 percent from Visayas, and 23 percent from Mindanao.

It has a margin of error of +/- 2.2 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
