Eighteen law students from Centro Escolar University (CEU) School of Law and Jurisprudence have taken a significant step forward in their legal careers by earning their certifications under the Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP).

The students recently took their oath for Level 1 and Level 2 certifications in a formal ceremony presided over by Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC) Executive Judge Honorable Gina M. Bibat-Palamos of Branch 64.

The ceremony was a key milestone for the aspiring legal practitioners, who are now officially certified to provide legal assistance under the CLEP. This program is designed to give law students practical experience by allowing them to engage in legal work while still in school, thus preparing them for the responsibilities of professional legal practice.

Present in the oath-taking was Atty. Eduard Riparip, Director of the CEU School of Law and Jurisprudence Office of Legal Aid, who witnessed the students' commitment to upholding the values of justice and service.

As certified law student practitioners, they will now have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in the real-world setting, and while providing legal aid to those in need, they also gain invaluable experience in the process.

The CEU School of Law and Jurisprudence led by Ret. Senior Justice Josue Bellosillo continues to lead in legal education by offering programs like CLEP that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. This recent batch of certified practitioners is expected to contribute positively to the legal profession, embodying the university’s commitment to excellence and public service.
