Binangonan, Rizal local execs, residents lead coastal clean-up

Local government officials and residents of Binangonan, Rizal led the coastal clean-up activities along Laguna Lake on Saturday, the Coastal Clean-Up Day.

Municipal Administrator Russel Ynares, who represented Mayor Cesar Ynares, joined residents of Barangay Libis in the clean-up drive.

Ynares said the clean-up was done in Barangays Libis, Libid and Lunsad with the theme, “Celebration of International Coastal Cleanup Through the Kalinisan sa Bagong Pilipinas Program.”

Members of the Sangguniang Barangay Council of Libis, Sangguniang Kabataan Council of Libis, YES Team (Rizal Environment and Natural Resources Office), MENRO (Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office), municipal employees, PENRO (Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office) River Rangers, Foundation for the These-Abled Persons Inc., beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program members and other volunteers joined in the clean-up.

Ynares said the event underscored the community’s dedication to environmental stewardship and showcased how the efforts of the residents can collectively impact global environmental health.
