Winners at Daejeon Over-The-Top Awards in South Korea

The Daejeon Over-The-Top Awards ceremony was held on Sept. 21 at KAIST Main Campus in Daejeon, South Korea. 

It was held in conjunction with the 2024 Daejeon Special FX Festival scheduled from Sept. 20 to 22. 

Ha Jung-woo bagged the grand in the acting category for the film “Hijack 1971,” given to the actor who gave the best performance in a special effects work.

In addition, the movie won the grand prize, which was awarded to the director of the best production utilizing special effects and visual effects. 

The best actor award went to Choi Jin-hyuk for “Miss Night and Day” while Nam Ji-hyun took home the best actress award for Netflix’s “High Cookie.”

Best Supporting Actor - Tae Won Seok, “The Player 2: Master of Swindlers”

Best Supporting Actress - Yoon Bo-mi, “Queen of Tears’  

Global Star Award - Jin Young, “Sweet Home 2” 

Rookie of the Year - Kim Sun-bin,  “Korea–Khitan War”
