Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey is the first Pinay to walk in this show at Paris Fashion Week

She will walk alongside Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne

The 2015 Miss Universe, model, and author, Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey, is set to add another achievement to her belt and make history for the Philippines as the first Filipina to walk at L’Oréal Paris’ annual Le Défilé "Walk Your Worth" runway show.

According to the brand's press statement sent to Manila Bulletin Lifestyle, Pia will represent the Philippines in the upcoming show on Sept. 23 at 8:30 p.m. CEST (Paris time) / Sept. 24 at 2:30 a.m. PHST (Manila time), during Paris Fashion Week at Place de l’Opéra in Paris, France.

“For the first time in seven years, L’Oréal Paris will have the first Filipina to walk its Paris Fashion Week show, Le Défilé  ‘Walk Your Worth,’” the brand said. “Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey will be walking the runway alongside the brand’s biggest global ambassadors such as Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne.”

It can be recalled that L’Oréal Paris Philippines announced Pia as the face of their skincare line during the launch of their viral “Sayang? No, #ImWorthIt” campaign last March 2024 in line with International Women’s Month. Since then, Pia has become an ambassador for their makeup line in the Philippines and is now the first Filipina to walk their Paris Fashion Week runway show.

The brand also stated that Pia will showcase their best-selling products, including the new Glycolic-Bright Anti-Dark Spot Serum, Panorama Mascara, and Infallible Matte Resistance Liquid Lipstick.

Le Défilé “Walk Your Worth” is the brand’s annual celebration of empowerment and diversity, featuring a sisterhood of ambassadors walking the runway to deliver the message of self-worth and beauty.

This year’s Le Défilé “Walk Your Worth” will feature a star-studded, inclusive roster of the beauty brand’s ambassadors, including Kendall Jenner, Eva Longoria, Viola Davis, Alia Bhatt, and the recently announced Cara Delevingne.

Catch the livestream of Le Défilé “Walk Your Worth” on L’Oreal Paris’ Facebook, YouTube, or Instagram page at 2:30 a.m. PHST on Sept. 24, 2024.
