Las Piñas LGU to offer free tech-voc courses training on October 1

The Las Piñas city government encouraged city residents to avail free technical vocational courses to earn extra income for three months or six months starting October 1.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said residents who wanted to study may visit and enroll at the Las Piñas City Manpower Training Center located at  Florlina Dela Cruz corner Maq. Concepcion Roa Sts.,BFRV Talon Dos, Las Piñas City.

Aguilar said for those interested to study for three months, classes will start on October 1 while for the six months training the session will be every Saturday and to start on January 5, 2025.

Individuals who will enroll for three months may choose computer system operations, cookery, English proficiency, food and beverage services, housekeeping, shielded metal arc welding for the morning session from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

For those who wanted to take afternoon session from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the manpower training center offers automotive servicing, bread and pastry production, hairdressing, massage therapy, refrigeration and aircon services, electrical installation and maintenance.

Aguilar said they may also take shielded metal arc welding  and housekeeping in the afternoon session for those who were not available in the morning. 

The manpower training center is also open from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for those who wanted take English proficiency and motorcycle/small engine servicing.

The mayor added that for those who wanted to take six months training, the center offers automotive servicing, bread and pastry production, electrical installation and maintenance and shielded metal arc welding from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. next year.
