'A master stroke': Guanzon impressed by VP Duterte's unannouced visit to Robredo

P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon can't help but praise Vice President Sara Duterte for her recent public relations move, which involved her predecessor and kakampink leader, Leni Robredo.

"VP Sara's unannouced visit to FVP Leni was a master stroke," Guanzon said in an X post over the weekend.

Guanzon was referring to Vice President Duterte's visit to Robredo's residence in Naga City. It coincided with the Penafrancia Festival.

"She wants to reach out to Leni now that BBM (Bongbong Marcos) is her enemy. It may not win her votes but it may win her some sympathy," said the former Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioner.

The Vice President’s surprise visit to her predecessor came after the very public falling out between the former and her one-time "UniTeam" partner, President Marcos.

Robredo, a Liberal Party (LP) fixture, ran for the presidency in 2022 but ended up a far second place to Marcos.

Guanzon is a proud kakampink.
