The local government invited Pasigueños to join the celebration, saying that biking has a lot of benefits for the health.

“Isa itong low-impact exercise na makatutulong palusugin ang ating puso at baga, palakasin ang ating mga muscles, at pagbutihin ang ating balance at coordination. Ang regular na pag-ehersisyo ay nakatutulong rin sa ating mental health (This is a low-impact exercise that can help improve our heart and lungs, strengthen our muscles, and enhance our balance and coordination. Regular exercise also contributes to our mental health),” the Pasig City Health Promotion said.

“Isa rin itong environment-friendly activity dahil wala itong carbon emissions mula sa usok. Dahil hindi rin ito gumagamit ng gasolina, wala ring resources na ginagamit mula sa fossil fuels (This is also an environment-friendly activity because it has no carbon emissions from smoke. Since it doesn’t use fuel, it doesn’t consume any resources from fossil fuels either ),” it added.

A mobile recyclable redemption center will also be present on Sunday at Caruncho Avenue.

Pasigueños can bring their stored recyclable materials to the redemption center from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. They can exchange it for various products such as rice, canned goods, coffee, sugar, biscuits, and others.

It noted that the recyclable materials should be clean, and dirty bottles or plastics will not be accepted for exchange.

Visit the Facebook page of Pasig City Health Promotion to see the mechanics and the corresponding products for recyclable materials.
