According to the city’s public information office, the event will run from October 2 to 4 at the Malabon City Amphitheater.

The initiative is part of the World Tourism Day on September 27.

The fair aims to promote the city’s artistic heritage and raise awareness among the residents and stakeholders about the tourism’s role in driving economic growth.

The people of Malabon are truly talented and passionate when it comes to the arts. That’s why I am delighted that our city will host the ‘Sining De Tambobong,’ which will not only showcase Malabueños' talents in painting but also highlight the rich culture of Malabon. This event fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of our shared history, peace, and progress in Malabon),” City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said.

Activities include a visual art exhibition showcasing works by local artists, a competition for over 50 school students featuring a lecture and on-the-spot painting contest, and live mural painting.

There will be an art, fashion, and artisanal merchandise booth where exhibitors can sell creations such as key chains, art prints, and fashion items.

The event will conclude with an awarding ceremony to recognize outstanding booths and artworks from participants.

The City’s Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (CTCAO) said that the fair also seeks to encourage collaboration with the artists, connect them with broader audiences, increase awareness and appreciation of the arts, support local talents, and enhance tourism to develop the local economy.

Participants interested in joining the painting competition can coordinate with the CTCAO until September 26.

The city government has also prepared several activities for the upcoming Business and Tourism Week celebration, which will take place from October 1 to 6.

The Sining De Tambobong, Malabon Business Trade Fair, Tambobong Cookfest, cultural shows and seminars will also be conducted during the celebration.

We take pride in the culture and tourism here in Malabon, as well as the businesses that contribute to the ongoing upliftment of our city. These activities serve as a way to show that we are united in our efforts to rise and strengthen the economy and the arts in our city),” City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete said.
