ZEROBASEONE tops monthly album chart with 'Cinema Paradise' selling 1 million copies

K-pop boy band ZEROBASEONE’s “Cinema Paradise” emerged as the No. 1 top-selling album in South Korea in August.

Korea’s Hanteo Chart released the list of the top-selling albums for August based on its proprietary physical record index (PRI), which combined total copies sold and album price. 

ZEROBASEONE’s “Cinema Paradise” is the No. 1 album in August, selling 1.02 million copies or an equivalent of 1.08 million in physical record index.

Girl group NMIXX’s “Fe3O4: STICK OUT” grabbed second place, selling 594,139 copies or a PRI of 665,832 

NCT member Jaehyun’s solo album “J” is in third place with 316,652 copies sold or a PRI of 422,740. 

Girl group Le Sserafim’s “Crazy” album, released on Aug. 30, landed in fourth place with 206,708 copies in sales or 256,676 in PRI. 

EXO member Chanyeol’s “Black Out” is in fifth place with 215,607 copies sold or 237,183 in PRI. 

Here are the 20 top-selling albums in South Korea for the month of August, ranked based on Hanteo Chart’s physical record index: 

1. ZEROBASEONE  - CINEMA PARADISE - 1,025,874 (total copies sold) / 1,085,120 (physical record index)
