Woman gives birth amid 'Enteng' flood in Quezon

BURDEOS, Quezon – A pregnant woman about to give birth was rescued amid waist-deep flood spawned by tropical storm Enteng’s heavy rains here on Monday, September 2.

Garner Gimenez, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office head, said the woman's family called them for assistance as she was about to deliver.

However, due to heavy rain, Barangay Poblacion, where the woman lives, was flooded. No vehicle could enter because of waist-high floodwater.

The Bureau of Fire Protection and MDRRMO pushed through the flood and reached her house.

She was placed on a stretcher and they again waded through the flood and were able to reach the hospital one kilometer away.

She safely gave birth to a baby boy.
