#WalangPasok: Palace suspends classes, gov't work in NCR due to 'Enteng'

Malacañang has suspended classes at all levels in Metro Manila on Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, due to the ongoing rains caused by Tropical Storm Enteng.

"In view of the inclement weather brought about by Tropical Storm “Enteng,” classes in public and private schools at all levels within the National Capital Region (NCR) on 02 September 2024 are hereby suspended," the Office of the Executive Secretary said early Monday.

As of 8:30 a.m., work in government offices in Metro Manila, aside from those involved in frontline services, is also suspended.

Meanwhile, the suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.

Local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila have been suspending classes since Sunday evening in anticipation of the effects of Tropical Storm Enteng.

According to the State Weather Bureau PAGASA, "Enteng" has maintained its strength as it moved northwest over the coastal waters of Vinzons, Camarines Norte early Monday.
