#WalangPasok: Muntinlupa mayor suspends classes, city government work for Sept. 3

Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon suspended classes and work at the city government for Sept. 3 due to tropical storm Enteng.

Biazon issued an announcement on Sept. 2, stating that classes in all levels in public and private schools in Muntinlupa are suspended.

The mayor made the announcement after netizens were confused by the declaration of the national government that “classes at all levels” are suspended for Sept. 3. Netizens asked if the national government’s issuance also covered private schools.

“In view of the inclement weather brought about by Tropical Storm ‘Enteng,’ classes at all levels and work in government offices in the National Capital Region and Region IV-A are hereby suspended tomorrow, September 3, 2024 (Tuesday). The suspension of work in private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads,” the Office of the Executive Secretary earlier announced, according to the Presidential Communications Office.

In his announcement, Biazon also said city government offices involved in emergency response will be on duty on Sept. 3 for rescue, medical emergency and maintenance of peace and order.
