Shoe warehouse burns in Marikina

A shoe warehouse on E. Dela Paz Street in Barangay Sta. Elena, Marikina City caught fire despite heavy rains brought about by Tropical Storm Enteng on Monday, September 2.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire started at 8:01 a.m.

Firefighters initially had difficulty putting out the fire due to the metal gate of the warehouse, forcing them to use metal cutters to break through it.

The blaze was declared under control at 9:09 a.m.

Meanwhile, arson investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and amount of damage to property.
