Sea trips in Quezon suspended


LUCENA CITY, Quezon – The Philippine Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog-Coast Guard Station Southern Quezon temporarily suspended seas trips within the jurisdiction of Coast Guard Sub-Station Mauban after Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) Numbers 1 and 2 was hoisted in the province due to tropical storm “Enteng” on Monday, September 2.

Trips were cancelled over the possible effect of inclement weather in accordance with PCG headquarters Memorandum Circular 02-23 or the Revised Guidelines on the movement of Vessels During Heavy Weather dated March 23, 2023.

Voyages may be allowed in main supply routes and special areas under the condition set forth by MC 02-23 as verified by the PCG District Southern Tagalog.

The PCG reminded all vessels and watercraft to take precautionary measures and be extra vigilant in monitoring the movement of Enteng.

Voyages will resume until further notice and improvement of weather and sea conditions.

Vessels intending to take shelter from Enteng shall be permitted as long as it is manifested through a written request and no passenger ang cargo will be allowed on board.

Sea trips were also suspended in the port of San Juan, Batangas.
