Safety first: Marikina solon ready to launch evacuation ops amid 'Enteng's' wrath

The office of Marikina City 1st district Representative Marjorie Ann "Maan" Teodoro is closely coordinating with the local government to ensure the safety of its constituents amid the impact of Typhoon "Enteng" to the country.
In a Facebook post on Monday afternoon, Sept. 1. Rep. Teodoro bared that rescue teams have been deployed and are prepared for possible evacuations, particularly in low-lying areas in the city.
”Naka-monitor tayo sa sitwasyon ng ating mga kalsada at sisiguraduhing lahat ng ating mga kawani ay nasa heightened alert at handa sa anumang oras,” she said.
(We are monitoring the situation on our roads and we ensure that all our personnel are on heightened alert and ready at all times.
The lady lawmaker also called on Marikenos to stay vigilant and to remain informed via announcements from official sources.
As of 11:55 a.m., Monday, the Marikina River’s water level decreased slightly to 16.7 meters, but remains under second alarm.
As of 11:52 a.m., the local government has relocated 2,091 families, or a total 9,039 individuals.
Rep. Teodoro is the wife of Marikina City Mayor Marcy Teodoro.
