BACOLOD CITY – The provincial government of Negros Occidental suspended work at the Provincial Capitol here from 12 noon onwards on Monday, September 2, due to inclement weather from tropical storm “Enteng.”

In a memorandum issued by acting provincial administrator Alberto Nellas Jr., those providing vital and essential services (security, hospital, and emergency personnel) shall continue to be on duty as scheduled.
In E.B. Magalona town, acting Mayor Eric Matulac also ordered the suspension of work in government offices from 1 p.m. onwards on Monday.
However, government offices whose functions involve providing essential public services and directly involved in disaster and emergency management shall continue their operations.
These frontline offices are the rescue team, social welfare and development officer, Municipal Health Office, General Services Office, police, and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Center (PDRRMC) Emergency Operations Center has been placed under blue alert status to heighten the monitoring of the effects of Enteng and enhanced southwest monsoon or “habagat” in the province/
