Tiger Kitchen has officially opened its doors in the heart of Manila, offering an elevated Korean BBQ. Conveniently located at Newport World Resort, the restaurant aims to become a favored destination for both locals and travelers seeking a distinctive dining adventure.

The founders of Tiger Kitchen were motivated by a desire to present Filipino diners with a broader spectrum of Korean cuisine. “At Tiger Kitchen, our goal is to broaden the horizons of Filipino diners by offering an extensive array of Korean BBQ options, beyond the classic samgyeopsal,” says Kim Binna, Korean Store Manager. While samgyeopsal is celebrated as Korea’s soul food, Tiger Kitchen seeks to introduce a diverse range of pork and beef BBQ options that highlight the rich variety of Korean flavors.

What sets Tiger Kitchen apart from other Korean BBQ establishments is its menu and innovative offerings. The restaurant provides not only traditional BBQ favorites but also unique dishes like Beef Tripe Fried Rice with Cheese. The restaurant also serves a variety of kimchi, enhancing its diverse culinary offerings with an authentic taste of Korea.

A notable feature of the Tiger Kitchen experience is its use of dry-aged meat, a technique that enhances the flavor and texture of each dish. “One of our defining features is our use of dry-aged meat,” Kim says. “We age our cuts in a low-temperature environment to bring out their flavor and tenderness, resulting in exceptionally juicy and tender meat.”

The restaurant’s design combines modern luxury with traditional Korean elements, creating a comfortable and stylish atmosphere. With a capacity to accommodate over 100 guests, Tiger Kitchen is suitable for group reservations and special events. “Our interior blends a calm and luxurious ambiance, making it perfect for casual meals or formal gatherings,” Kim adds. VIP rooms are also available for a more private dining experience.

Tiger Kitchen’s commitment to authenticity is reflected in its menu and overall dining experience. Korean chef Ji Young Jin, who brings over 20 years of experience, ensures that each dish authentically represents Korean cuisine. “Our menu is crafted by a seasoned Korean chef with experience at a five-star hotel in Korea,” Kim reveals. The restaurant’s Korean floor manager also adds a touch of genuine Korean hospitality, making each visit memorable.
