'Enteng' makes landfall in Casiguran, Aurora — PAGASA
Tropical Storm “Enteng” (international name “Yagi”) further intensified before making landfall in Casiguran, Aurora Monday afternoon, Sept. 2, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
PAGASA said the storm made landfall at 2 p.m. while packing maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts reaching up to 105 kph.
Based on its forecast track, Enteng may continue moving either north-northwestward or northward.
By early Tuesday morning, Sept. 3, PAGASA said the storm may turn more northwestward as it moves across mainland Northern Luzon and then emerge over the Luzon Strait by late morning.
From Tuesday to mid-Thursday, Sept. 5, Enteng is expected to move westward over the Luzon Strait and the West Philippine Sea.
PAGASA said the storm may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Wednesday noon or afternoon, Sept. 4.
