2nd alarm raised in Marikina River amid Tropical Storm Enteng's onslaught


The Marikina City local government raised the second alarm at the Marikina River due to rising water level brought about by Tropical Storm Enteng on Monday, September 2.

According to Marikina City Rescue 161, the river's water level has already reached 16 meters as of 8:32 a.m.

The first alarm was earlier raised at 8:10 a.m. after the river's water level reached 15 meters.

If the river’s water level reaches 18 meters, this will prompt the raising of the third and final alarm alert, and forced evacuations will be enforced in all the affected areas.
