Complementing the Ynares to Eco System to Green Program, popularly known as YES to Green Program of the provincial government, the gardening project is being spread to all communities in Binangonan, through the women’s group- the Barkadahan ng Kababaihan ng Binangonan (BKB) - led by Dr. Rose Martha Callanta Ynares, the wife of Mayor Cesar Ynares.

The urban gardening project was launched in time for the anniversary of the YES to Green Program of the provincial government, which was started by former Governor Rebecca “Nini” Ynares.

Aside from being the source of the community’s vegetation, some of the urban gardens are the venue for proper solid waste management.

Organic methods are being practiced in the vegetable gardens that produce garden to table vegetables that are shared among the residents.

The gardens, also called Eco Gardens, are uniquely designed and decorated by the residents using recycled materials that were sourced from the trash collected from the households.

These areas have started becoming tourist attractions in the community.
