6 drug pushers yield P1.3-M shabu in Iloilo City buy-bust

ILOILO CITY — Police arrested six suspected drug pushers and seized P1.3-million shabu in a buy-bust operation here on Tuesday, September 17.

The Iloilo City Police City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU) identified the suspects as Greg, a high-value individual, Jan-Jan and Syongo from Bacolod City, Toto from Pulupandan, Negros Occidental, Andres of Santa Barbara, Iloilo, and Jerry from Quirino province.

Police Col. Kim Legada, city police chief, lauded the successful operation led by ICPO-CDEU head Police Capt. Ryan Inot.

“I salute your diligence and perseverance for the good of the community. Let us continue to strengthen our fight against illegal drugs. We will not stop or lower our guard as long as there is still one person selling or using these illegal substances,” said Legada in a statement on Wednesday, September 18.

Capt. Shella Mae Sangrines, ICPO spokesperson, said the operation was led by the ICPO-CDEU and backed by the ICPO-Molo Police Station, ICPO-City Intelligence Unit, the ICPO-SWAT, and the Iloilo Maritime Police.
