Mayor Honey, VM Yul pray for Dr. Willie Ong to overcome cancer

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan and Vice Mayor “Yul Servo” Nieto are sending prayers and good wishes to Dr. Willie Ong who had recently announced that he is suffering from abdominal cancer.

The mayor said Manileños are united, including the mayor's family members, the Manila City Council, congressmen, officials and employees, in praying for Dr. Ong.

Lacuna-Pangan said that Dr. Ong, better known as Doc Willie, showed his exemplary dedication to public service through vlogging which he does with his wife, Dr. Liza.

In their YouTube channel, they share advices on wide-ranging health concerns that are based on studies and facts.

"We are one in praying for Doc Willie as he faces this most challenging chapter in his life. We come together to let Doc Willie Ong and his family know that he is deeply loved and admired for his compassion and wisdom," the lady mayor said.

Dr. Ong was fully supported by Manila's ruling party, Asenso Manileño, when he ran for Vice President in 2022.
