Jet G. Carino, PDEA-Mimaropa (Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan) chief, identified the suspects as Luis D. Baes, 45, a businessman, and his wife Lyn, 41, residents of Barangay Malitbog, Bongabong.

Carino said this was the biggest volume of shabu recovered in the region. The operation disrupted the shabu supply chain in Mimaropa and nearby regions, he added.

The suspects face drug-related charges.

The PDEA-Mimaropa said that the operation is part of a broader strategy to reduce drug supply and ensure that the region remains vigilant and proactive against narcotic threats.

“The agency remains steadfast in its mission to dismantle drug networks and ensure the safety and well-being of the community,” PDEA-Mimaropa added.
