3 robbery suspects caught in Agusan del Norte

BUTUAN CITY – Police arrested three men who allegedly robbed three persons and a convenience store in Barangay San Roque, Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte on Saturday night, September 14.

Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Alan M. Nazarro identified the suspects as Mon, 33; Rol, 29, and Rey, 20.

Recovered from the suspects, who were apprehended in Tubod, Surigao del Norte, were a Colt caliber .45 pistol with five bullets; 15 caliber .45 bullets, and a caliber .38 revolver with six bullets.

Police are determining their ties to past robbery incidents in the province.

“We are investigating whether these suspects are linked to the recent robbery incidents in the rural areas of Surigao del Norte and Surigao City recently,” Nazarro said. “Our investigators are preparing airtight charges against them.”
