Motorcycle rider dies after hitting trailer truck in Pasig

A motorcycle rider died after hitting a trailer truck in Pasig City on Sunday, September 15.

According to the city's Traffic and Parking Management Office, the victim, who has not been identified, was a traffic enforcer in one of the city's business districts.

Authorities said the victim was on his way home to Antipolo City when the accident occurred on the eastbound side of Ortigas Avenue early in the morning.

The initial investigation revealed that traffic was heavy and vehicles were moving slowly due to bridge construction in the area when the motorcycle, driven by the victim, suddenly hit the back of the truck.

The accident resulted in the rider's death.

Meanwhile, the truck driver is currently in the custody of the Pasig Police and might face charges due to the rider's death.
