Akon to hold 'Superfan Tour' in Manila with Ez Mil, Lucas, Gloc-9, Flow G

L-Squared Productions, one of the emerging names in the local live events scene, announced that singer Akon will be holding his “The Superfan Tour” in Manila together with international and local artists. 

“The Superfan Tour,” under L-Squared’s V1BE Manila, touted as the “Grandest Hip-Pop Experience” of the year, will be held on Dec. 3 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. 

Grammy nominated artist Akon will be returning to the Philippines after 15 years. 

The five-time Grammy nominee behind the global chart-dominating singles “Smack That”, “I Wanna Love You”, “Don’t Matter”, and “Right Now (Na Na Na)” will be bringing his tour to the country. 

Akon is currently touring the world with his ‘The Superfan Tour’ and last performed in the Philippines during the Manila leg of his global Freedom tour in 2009.

“The Superfan Tour” in Manila will feature artists Ez Mil, Lucas, Gloc-9, Flow G, Dappest x adL,  Chocolate Factory, Legit Misfitz and DJ Kate Jagdon. 

Filipino-American rapper, singer, and songwriter Ezekiel Miller, aka Ez Mil, will bring his pop, soul, hip hop, and R&B influences to the event. He rose to prominence for being the first Filipino artist to sign with Eminem’s Shady Records and is known for his hit song “Panalo.”

Pop star Lucas will be returning to Manila following his “Fiat Lux” fancon in June. The SM Entertainment singer started his comeback activities with the single “Renegade” this year. 

The concert will mark the first appearance in the Philippines of hip-hop duo Dappest & adL. Hailing from Shillong, Northeast India, adL is a music producer and DJ who draws inspiration from African, Eastern, and Western cultures. 

Rapper, singer, and composer Dappest similarly incorporates aspects of African-American culture in his artistry. 

Rap royalty Gloc-9 is a trailblazer in the Pinoy hip-hop scene and is behind the hit songs “Sirena”, “Simpleng Tao”, “Upuan”, and “Bagsakan”, Gloc-9 blends rap and pop with masterful storytelling, creating music which Filipinos have come to know and love.

Rising to prominence as a member of Ex Batallion, Flow G has successfully transitioned to a musical career with hits like “Pauwi Nako” and “Rapstar.” 

Also performing at the event are Filipino reggae, jazz, funk, and soul collective Chocolate Factory, contemporary hip-pop duo Legit Misfitz and DJ Kate Jagdon.
