2 kidnap victims rescued in Batangas

LAUREL, Batangas â€“ Police rescued two kidnap victims before dawn on Saturday, September 14, on Diokno Highway, Barangay San Gregorio, this town.

Police identified the victims as Shi, a Chinese national, 36, and Milagros, Filipino, 36, residents of Paranaque City.

Investigation said the victims approached an animal checkpoint in Barangay Tamayo and informed personnel that they were kidnap victims.

They told police that they were kidnapped from their residence by unidentified suspects onboard a silver vehicle and were released.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
