Artworks made by DSWD kids showcased in Pasay art exhibit

Several artworks created by children under the care of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) were showcased in Pasay City's “Sining Eskwela Art Exhibit” on Wednesday, September 11.

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Ruboiano led the inauguration of the exhibit held at the Pasay City Hall.

Rubiano explained the program aims to enhance the capabilities of children through art.

“Empowering. Motivating. Inspiring. EMI. Yan ang mga salitang lumalarawan sa mga art pieces na ating ipagmamalaki sa gallery na ito. Sa bawat likha ng bata, sana, ang tumitingin ay sila ring mapaalalahanan na art is an effective outlet ng inyong mga nasa isip at puso (Empowering. Motivating. Inspiring. EMI. Those are the words that reflect the art pieces we are so proud of in this gallery. With each creation of the kids, I hope that those who see it will be reminded that art is an effective outlet for whatever is in your mind and heart)," the mayor said.

People may purchase the artworks of the kids wherein its proceeds will be used for their daily needs.
