GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Two suspected hitmen were killed during a police raid in their hideout on Wednesday, September 11, here, hours after they allegedly gunned down a businesswoman in this city.
Police Col. Nicomedes Olaivar, city police director, identified the suspects as Jessie Semini and Renato Alebio.
Olaivar said they launched pursuit operations against the suspects who were tagged in the killing of businesswoman Dideth Alejandria in Barangay Calumpang on Wednesday morning.
He said the suspects were traced to their hideout in Barangay Baluan.
Police swooped down on their hideout but the suspects returned fire, hitting a member of the raiding team, Benjamin Difonturom, assigned to the City Mobile Force Company, who was killed.
Seized from the suspects, who were also alleged members of a local organized crime group involved in the illegal drugs trade, were two .45 caliber pistols, several sachets of suspected shabu, and two motorcycles.
