ILIGAN CITY – Unidentified gunmen shot and killed two brothers in Barangay del Carmen here on Wednesday night, September 11.

Police identified the victims as John Rey, 28, and Eric John, 30, both surnamed Miguela.
Witnesses said they heard three gunshots and saw two fast-moving vehicles leaving the area.
The Iligan City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office declared the victims dead on the spot.
Iligan City Police Office spokesperson Police Major Zandrex S. Panolong said a heated argument led to the shooting.
Police are hunting two suspects who fled onboard two cars.
Family and friends cried justice for the two siblings.
The employer of John Rey sought justice for him. According to his employer, John Rey was a dedicated and hardworking employee.
His employer said John Rey was on his day-off and was killed while working in his small business.
The victims were allegedly killed after he and his brother refused to serve more liquor to a customer, John Rey’s employer added.
