Parañaque LGU to hold mass microchipping of dogs, cats


The Parañaque city government invited furparents to avail of  the free mass microchipping of their dogs and cats to be held starting September 27 to October 6.

Parañaque Mayor Eric Olivarez explained that microchipping of pets has six benefits which include accurate identification of pet and owner especially in times of natural and man-made disasters, aid in border control especially for rabies, non-switching of pets, and established accountability of pet owners in cases of animal bites, damage to property, and others.

Announcements on the date and place of the activity will be posted on the Public Information Office's (PIO) Facebook page.

The mayor added that the list of veterinary clinics that will be partner microchip stations of the city government will be announced soon.
