It will be an additional to the 136,000 land titles that have been handed over to beneficiaries around the country.

"Ayon sa pinakahuling datos ng DAR, umabot na sa mahigit isang daan at tatlumpu’t anim na libong titulo ng lupa ang naipamahagi sa mga benepisyaryo sa buong bansa (According to the latest data from the Department of Agrarian Reform, more than 136,000 land titles have been given to beneficiaries around the country)," Marcos said in his speech on Thursday, Sept. 12.

"May higit isang daang libong titulo na nakahanda na ring ipamigay bago matapos ang taong ito (There are over 100,000 titles ready for distribution before this year ends)," Marcos added.

The President led the awarding of 343 Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) during a ceremony at the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Quezon City.

The CLOAs cover 232.76 ha to 287 ARBs from Nasugbu, Batangas (Region IV-A).

To be exact, the DAR has distributed 136,116 land titles to 138,718 ARBs nationwide covering a total of 164,088 hectares as of September 2024.  An additional 101,666 titles are set for distribution in the remaining months of 2024.

In August this year, DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III said there are still 800,000 land titles intended for distribution until the end of the Marcos administration.

During the event, Marcos also led the distribution of 1,119 Certificates of Condonation and Release of Mortgage (COCROMs), encompassing 1,728.349 hectares (ha) of land, to 1,000 beneficiaries.

The government has condoned around P274.9 million in debts for ARBs across several municipalities in Bulacan.

Now that their debts are paid, Marcos encouraged the beneficiaries to use the money that was supposed to be used for paying their unpaid dues would be used properly.

"Kaya hinahangad ko, ng administrasyon ko, na ang inyong naipon na sana ay ipambabayad sa lupa, ay inyo ngayon magagamit para sa ibang bagay na makakatulong sa inyong mga kinabukasan  (This administration hopes that the money you saved, which was supposed to pay for your lands, would be used for other things for your future)," Marcos said in his speech.

A total of 300,000 COCROMs are expected to be distributed before the end of this year.
