After two years in the US, Kris Aquino is finally returning to the Philippines.

On Instagram on Sept. 12, Kris shared photos inside the plane with the caption, "See you, Manila."

Kris, 53, shared the reasons why she's coming back home.

"The reason I decided to go home is because I need to start my second immunosuppressant infusions in 2-3 weeks (it’s a gentler term for chemotherapy).

"Emotionally, I need the encouragement and unwavering faith my sisters & cousins, closest friends, and trusted team of doctors can provide.

"Sadly, what was the battle to improve my mental health is now the struggle to protect my vital organs. This is now the fight of my life," she wrote.

Kris went to the US for treatment of autoimmune conditions. In a health update, Kris shared six confirmed autoimmune conditions: autoimmune thyroiditis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, Churg Strauss, systemic sclerosis, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis.

She mentioned that she is waiting for the results of two additional autoimmune condition tests.

Kris thanked those who prayed for her recovery.
