Korean actress Kim Tae-ri, known for the dramas “Twenty-Five Twenty-One” and “Revenant,” will be coming to Disney+ as “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born.”
“Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born,” based on a popular webtoon, is set in post-war Korea where an ordinary girl with nothing more than a dream and an incredible voice will attempt to beat the odds and become the best performer.
Kim Tae-ri is Jeongnyeon, a trainee of Maeran Gukgeuk-dan (Theater Company), competing and growing with her biggest rival Youngseo. Her dream is to become one of the best performers in Korean female classical opera.
