Bacolod cops net P1.2-M shabu


BACOLOD CITY – The Bacolod City Police Office seized shabu worth a total of P1.2 million from two suspected drug pushers in buy-bust operations here on Tuesday and Thursday.

The City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested 45-year-old Stephen on Thursday, September 12, in Purok Pablo Torre, Barangay Vista Alegre.

Stephen yielded 135 grams of suspected shabu valued at P918,000. The suspect was tagged as a high-value individual due to the volume of recovered illegal drugs.

Also confiscated from the suspect were the P1,000 marked money and a digital weighing scale. 

A 54-year-old man was apprehended with 52 grams of suspected shabu worth P353,600 in in Purok Lubi, Barangay 3, on Tuesday, September 10.

Police Major Eugene Tolentino, head of Police Station 2, said the suspect was earlier arrested for a drug offense and released from jail in 2018. 

Drug-related charges were filed against the suspect on Wednesday, September 11.
