2,000 jobs available to Bulakenyo jobseekers


The Provincial Government of Bulacan, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), is set to hold a job fair on Friday, September 13.

The job fair will take place at the Waltermart Activity Center along MacArthur Highway, Barangay Longos, starting at 8 a.m.

According to Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PPESO) head Engr. Egbert R. Robles, 20 local companies will participate in the event, and they aim to hire 200 to 300 qualified applicants for industries such as manufacturing, manpower, financial services, and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), among others.

To streamline employment services, various national government agencies, including the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Social Security System (SSS), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), and Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), will set up a One-Stop-Shop of Services (OSSS).

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Pag-IBIG Fund, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will also be on hand to assist.

Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando, Vice Governor Alexis Castro, and DOLE Bulacan Field Office Director Leilani Reynoso will lead the program.

The job fair will include Employer Booths categorized by Key Employment Growth Sectors, a Hired-on-the-Spot Booth, a DOLE Information Booth, an Employment Counseling Desk, and a Labor Education and Livelihood Desk.
