Malabon LGU completes post-typhoon trash cleanup

The City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of Malabon City has completed the cleanup operations of the garbage left behind by Typhoon Enteng on Thursday, September 12.

Teams were deployed immediately to restore cleanliness in Malabon, clearing major roads and public areas of all post-typhoon debris.

"We hear the concerns of our residents, and we’ve acted quickly to resolve the issue. Our teams have worked tirelessly to clean up after Typhoon Enteng," said CENRO Head, Engr. Maria Santos.

"Congratulations to CENRO for their dedication and quick response in ensuring that our streets are clean and safe again. The cleanup operation is the city’s response to recent public concerns and online complaints regarding waste buildup in various parts of the city.

Mayor Sandoval urged Malabueños to be more responsible in managing their wastes.

"Malabon, patuloy nating suportahan ang kalinisan sa ating lungsod. Hinihikayat ko kayong lahat na itapon ang basura nang maayos at sumunod sa tamang waste disposal practices (Let's continue to support cleanliness in our city. I encourage all of you to dispose of waste properly and follow proper waste disposal practices),” she said.
