P7.3-M shabu seized in Negros Oriental

BACOLOD CITY – More than one kilo of suspected shabu valued at P7.3 million was seized and a drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Purok San Sebastian, Barangay Buntis, Bacong, Negros Oriental on Tuesday, September 10.

The suspect was identified as Opaw, 45, of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

Police Lt. Stephen Polinar, spokesperson of the Negros Oriental police, said the suspect was under monitoring by the intelligence unit for several months.

Polinar said they are checking the background of the suspect and identifying his source.

“We’re looking at all possible entries. It could be sourced out from Mindanao or Manila then passed through Negros Oriental,” he added.
