Mayor Honey wishes Manila beauty queens the best of luck in pageants

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan expressed pride and wished the best of luck for all Miss Manila representatives who are slated to compete in different local and international pageants.

The Miss Manila representatives were presented by the mayor and Manila Vice Mayor John Marvin "Yul Servo" Nieto during the Monday flag-raising ceremony held at Manila City Hall.

She said that Miss Manila Charity Xena Ramos was crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas - Charity 2024, while Miss Manila finalist Imee Soyangco won Miss Friendship International Philippines 2024 and will be representing Manila and the country in a forthcoming competition in China.

Miss Manila 2024 First Runner-up Dra. Jubilee Therese Acosta will also be joining the Miss Grand International representing Manila.

Miss Manila finalist Jasmine Paguio will compete in the  Hiyas ng Pilipinas.

The mayor congratulated all the candidates hailed in Manila and won various titles in the recently-concluded Miss Manila beauty pageant held during the city's 453rd Founding Anniversary in June.

"Ako naman po si Miss Ina ng Maynila hanggang lumagpas ang 2025 (I am Miss Ina [mother] of Manila until 2025)," she said at the end of her speech, prompting loud cheer and applause from the city officials and employees present.
