Marcos declares Sept. 11 as special non-working day in Ilocos Norte
President Marcos has declared Sept. 11 as a special non-working day in Ilocos Norte to commemorate the 107th birth anniversary of his father, former president Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

Marcos made the declaration through Proclamation 671, which was signed on Aug. 29.
"[I]t is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of Ilocos Norte be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration," the document stated.
It was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on behalf of the President.
Meanwhile, several activities are slated for "Marcos Day" in the province, where the Chief Executive is expected to spearhead.
