Mandaluyong City, Lubang municipality ink sisterhood agreement

The municipality of Lubang is now the sister city of Mandaluyong after inking an agreement that will boost their ties for years to come.

The signing of the sisterhood agreement was held at the Mandaluyong City Hall and was led by Mandaluyong City Mayor Ben Abalos, Lubang Mayor Michael Orayani, and other executives of both local governments.

The benefits include a satisfactory cultural exchange between the two cities, tourism development, cooperation in educational matters, development cooperation, and many others.

"Bilang ganap na kapatid na lungsod, nag-alay ang Mandaluyong ng iba’t ibang simbolikong regalo kabilang ang Susi sa Lungsod, maliit na rebulto ng maalamat na sina Manda at Luyong, Book of Ordinances at iba pa (As Lubang's sister city, Mandaluyong gave symbolic gifts such as the Key to the City, small sculptures of Manda and Luyong, Book of Ordinances, and many others)," the city government said.
