House concludes 'Enteng' relief ops; over 51,000 assisted

The offices of House Speaker Martin Romualdez and Tingog Party-list have reported the completion of its relief efforts for victims of "Typhoon Enteng".

This initiative was launched as a way to provide timely support for the families severely impacted by Enteng, with a focus on the hardest-hit provinces of Rizal and Zambales.

The relief operation was concluded on Monday, Sept. 9.

"The success of this relief operation is a testament to what we can achieve when we unite for a common cause. Our work does not end here; we remain committed to supporting these communities in their recovery and rebuilding efforts," Speaker Romualdez said.

For her part, Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez hailed "the spirit of cooperation and compassion" that "shone brightly through these challenging time".

"Our collective effort has truly made a difference in the lives of those affected," added the wife of the Speaker.

The aid package included Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) relief packs, supplementary groceries, and a transportation allowance of P500 per family.

Overall, the relief efforts reached 600 families, benefiting some 3,000 individuals in Zambales alone. Across both Rizal and Zambales, essential support was provided to a total of 10,374 affected families, or 51,783 individuals.

In Zambales, the operation was coordinated with Rep. Bing Maniquiz (2nd dstrict), whose office delivered relief packs to five municipalities.

Rep. Romualdez extended her heartfelt gratitude to the numerous volunteers, local leaders, and partner organizations whose unwavering dedication made this operation possible.

Speaker Romualdez commended the collaboration, and highlighted the critical role of unity and collective action in disaster response.
