Tipster receives P1.1-M reward for info on beauty queen, fiancé
SAN FERNANDO CITY, Pampanga – Gov. Dennis Pineda of this province awarded P1 million to an informant who provided information that led to the discovery of the remains of beauty queen Geneva Lopez and her Israeli fiancé Yitzhak Cohen in Tarlac in July.

Alias Jun-Jun received his reward during the 3rd Quarter Peace and Order Council meeting here on Friday, August 30.
The money was sourced from the council fund and anonymous donor from the business sector.
The local government unit of Santo Tomas, Pampanga gave an additional P150,000 reward.
The couple’s burnt remains were found in a quarry site in Capas on July 6. The victims were negotiating the sale of a property when they went missing.
Two former policemen have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Also present during the awarding were Santo Tomas Mayor Johnny Sambo, PamCham representative Joyce del Rosario, Pampanga police chief Police Col. Jay Dimaandal, Tarlac-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group chief Police Lt. Col. Jake Manguera, and Special Assistant to the Governor and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management chief Angelina Blanco.
