ILIGAN CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency seized shabu valued at P13.6 million and arrested two suspected drug pushers in a seaport interdiction operation in Barangay Tandu Bato, Luuk, Sulu on Saturday, August 31.

PDEA-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Director Gil Cesario Castro identified the suspects as Lala Jamih Halisan, alias Ben, 28, male and, Alwinir Kabran, 20, male.
Recovered from them were 21 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing two kilos and identification cards.
They are under the custody of the Indanan Municipal Police Station in Sulu and awaiting inquest proceedings for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Castro cited operating units for the arrest of the suspects. “I commend all the operating units that successfully foiled the attempt of a large volume of distribution of illegal drugs in the Bangsamoro region that could destroy the lives of the Bangsamoro people.”
