Akari, which boasts a 5-0 record after sweeping its Pool B rivals, aims to live up to its lofty billing as it clashes with cellar dweller Galeries Tower (0-5) in the 1 p.m. contest which serves as the curtain raiser.
The red-hot Chargers remain as the only undefeated team in the import-laden tournament while the High Risers seek to clinch their first win in this conference.
In the second pairing at 3 p.m., Cignal (4-1) looks to recover from its four-set loss to Akari when it challenges Farm Fresh (2-3).
For the finale, Capital1 (3-2) tries to ride on its momentum against Nxled (1-4) at 5 p.m.
Oluoma Okaro, who is currently third among the conference's top scorers, is expected to spearhead the Chargers with local stars Ced Domingo and Ivy Lacsina serving as backup to challenge Chuewulim Sutadta, Grazielle Bombita, Andrea Marzan and France Ronquillo of the High Risers.
The HD Spikers, meanwhile, gun for a bounce back win as MJ Perez, Ces Molina and Ria Meneses battle Yeny Murillo and Trisha Tubu of the Foxies, who are determined to return to the winning column as well.
PVL scoring leader Marina Tushova is expected to delliver once again for the Solar Spikers as they tussle with Meegan Hart and Jhoana Maraguinot who banner Nxled.
